On Wednesday evening we will show you some of the wonderful great life in Amsterdam. We've prepared a not-to-miss photography-, film- and music programme in the city center. Two museums open their doors especially for us Drupalistas! Also, we have live music in brewery De Prael. There is a cafe / restaurant at each location to have a drink or meal.

Have you ever wanted to visit world-renown photography in one of the most beautiful parts of Amsterdam? Foam will open its doors on wednesday evening, especially for DrupalCon visitors. During the night you’ll have the opportunity to view the work of the “Foam Paul Huf Award 2014” winning Daniel Gordon.

What time: 18:00 to 22:30

“Re-use is fundamental in the artistic process of Daniel Gordon. He finds the photographic images from the Internet, print these images, and assembles them into three-dimensional tableaus with scissors and glue.”

» EYE (Film Museum & Restaurant)
Maybe film is more your typical kind of thing? In that case you must come and visit EYE! Have you recently arrived by train on Amsterdam Central Station? Did you have a look behind the station on “the other side of ‘t IJ”, and did you see an extraordinary white building, suchlike a huge white bird, or a winking eye? Were you already wondering what it could be?

This is your chance! Make a romantic boat trip over ‘t IJ and visit Amsterdam Noord (according to skyscanner.net the 7th most hipster neighbourhood of the world!!!) to see one of the most fascinating constructions build in the last couple of years in Amsterdam. Here you can enjoy lovely architecture, sit down and relax in a comfortable restaurant with a compelling view, or stroll along interesting exhibitions and maybe even go see a movie.

What time: The exhibition is opened from 18:00 to 21:00. EYE itself is open till after midnight - with a spectacular view.

Travel time: EYE is located directly opposite Amsterdam’s Central Station. After arriving at Central Station, take the exit on the north side, from where you can see the EYE building. From there, take the free ‘Buiksloterweg’ ferry across the IJ harbour.

» Musical Night Programme
Does it still not sound like music in your ears? Then go to the Prael and listen to drupalistas singing, swinging and maybe even dancing in an informal setting. Come and bring your instrument! Everything is allowed, playing the ukulele, singing opera or drowning in heavy metal: this night can not fail for you!
