Drupalfund is a crowdfunding platform for projects related to Drupal. Since Drupalcon Prague, Drupal community has used Drupalfund to raise nearly $25,000 from 217 funders to support 8 successful projects. Most notably & recent the project for development of the Rules module for D8.

Fundraising (not only within the Drupal ecosystem) is a hard job. It requires you to do a job of multiple roles (marketer, PR & social media specialist, community activist, sales manager, accountant) and still remain a developer in your day job.

We will hear about the experience of succesful Drupalfund project owners to identify best practices and strategies to:
- describe your project idea
- validate your idea with the community
- manage the marketing campaign
- target the right potential funders
- raise funds
- deliver what you promised

We will discuss why embracing crowdfunding is important for the future of Drupal community and Drupal itself.

We will also announce a special & exciting campaign to help make Drupal development more sustainable.
