Behat has gained increasing mindshare over recent Drupal events and there have been efforts to increase its use in core and contrib but a tool like Behat can mean many things to many people.

This session will take an inventory of the efforts to integrate Behat into core and contrib up to this point and reframe these efforts in a world where Drupal 8 has more and more actual unit tests, simple test is being phased out for functional tests, javascript needs more tests and Drupal projects are increasingly being developed with a full suite of automated acceptance tests running in a variety of environments.

We will also go over some of the subtle, mainly under the hood changes in the latest behat (version 3) that will enable some smarter integration, focussing on Drupal 8 and beyond.
