We've spent the past 2-3 years developing a Drupal distribution called Campaignion. In this session we will tell our story of product development, share helpful things we've learned on the way and talk about how you can use Drupal to change the world.
Of course we'll give you a quick tour through the distro, the main module and explain how we solves some interesting technical challenges.
Campaignion focuses on non-profits and provides activists, campaigners and fundraisers with a platform to
- create online actions (like ptitions),
- do online fundraising,
- keep track of contacts in a lean CRM system (based on Redhen
- communicate across channels (via built in integrations)
Our goal was to provide an open, powerful and flexible platform that has a seamless user experience. Through heavy customizations of forms and node forms we achieved a powerful authoring experience that lets users set up landing pages very quickly. Then the user can continue to segment the contacts and manage the relationship.
The distribution uses about 20 modules and many more sub-modules we've developed. We've also done a lot of work around contributed modules like webform.

I saw an early version of this presentation at the Drupal Austria Meetup and was impressed. torontil is an execellent speaker and the talk was structured well, entertaining and very informative. The content is a great example of how far people can go with Drupal, how different it can look and how much can be customized in terms of simplicity and usability. Big +1!
Fantastic!!!
I think this subject is the most useful one to see how this platform meets to different requirements at a campus.
Seeing the various experiences and success stories on Drupal as an open source platform in ecosystem of universities that is the center of Open Source world.
It will shine a light to shine to reveal new ideas and solution with this platform. It worths to hear.
