D8 FTW Inline Editing Translations Abstractions ZOMG

Speakers:

This is a bug-free, store your negativity in a git blame, only going to talk about kittens and demonstrate how to hold bunnies zone. Drupal 8 is going to be huge, and not because it has an awesome architecture and definitely not because we've gone through the worm and cocoon stage and finally emerged as a beautiful butterfly.

No, sir. Drupal 8 is gonna be awesome because it can demo features that other systems wish they could.

Want to click and edit a menu item on the page? Done (Well, I have it from a good source this will be done).

Want to go to the translated portion of your site, and change the title to be translated? Done.

Want to approve comments, add nodes, and manage views on your phone? Me either, but done!

Fancy Icons? Done.

This is purely a fast-paced slide show / demo of all the marvelous things that our Drupal Community has put together in Drupal 8. I want to see this presentation, so I'm stepping up and saying, if this session gets picked, I'll be there in Amsterdam with a fantastic slide deck and more enthusiasm than any one person should have for the next generation Content Management Framework.

I would be happy to team up with other Drupalers that want to share enthusiasm on stage or in a slide.

I'm not sure this is a good fit for a core conversation? This seems much more general-audience focused, based on the description. Or is this going to be more for "showing core developers what the contrib community is already doing in D8?"

I agree with Dave. This sounds like a Site Building track session, showing off how awesome site building in D8 will be. Core Conversations should be, well, conversations, and this doesn't sound conversational.
