Everyone has their favorite modules. Are they going to be ready when Drupal 8 is released? How will your usual site building workflow need to adapt to accommodate changes in Drupal 8?

We'll take a stab at speculating which modules will be hot, and which ones may fall off the map as their functionality becomes redundant or obsolete.

Learning Objectives

Through comparing and contrasting the most common Drupal 7 modules and their Drupal 8 counterpart, we'll get a glimpse into Drupal 8 site building best practices.

Past Experience

We'll use past experience from working with Drupal 8, and experience transitioning from 5 to 6, and 6 to 7 to provide helpful tips and suggestions. We're a huge proponent of keeping power in the hands of site builders, and I've personally found Drupal to be the most empowering CMS for this same reason.
