OOP has been around for quite some time in PHP, Drupal 7 has been leveraging its capabilities unevenly while Drupal 8 unleashes its full potential.

In this session I want to show you how you can structure your code and modules to use an object oriented programming approach to deal with things like polymorphism, code quality measurement and testability. I will do so by showing some examples of how OOP is used in core and several popular modules like Views, Migrate2 and how you can make the most out of those patterns.
