Working group for the future of localize.drupal.org

Speakers:

Localize.drupal.org is one of the drupal.org properties still running on Drupal 6 and in parallel it needs to support the release and translatability of Drupal 8. Its the strangest combination you can get. While that is possible, we are generally reluctant to build much needed new features on Drupal 6, we have a (probably near ready) Drupal 7 port of the site that needs work and then more of the work can start.

As the original creator of the site I have almost no time to devote to it these days. Sebastien Corbin volunteered to dedicate some time but his time is also very limited. See his report of the status of the site at the beginning of the year. Not much changed since then.

We need to form a working group with members who not only care for the site but also dedicate time to its improvement. People with all kinds of backgrounds are needed. Developers, quality assurance, translators, performance experts, etc.

This is not a presentation but rather a working group where you'll have a chance to join a newly formed team.
