Well, for a start, my hair won't be pink this year like it was in Prague! I'm not promising what colour it will be just yet... :-)
After an extremely varied career teaching kids how to attack each other with swords, defending the country from certain doom and transforming IT in the pharmaceutical industry, I finally decided to become a freelance Drupal Developer.
I first came across Drupal way back in 2007 when I was asked to 'keep an eye' on an agency building a site for the company I worked for. Well, somebody had to stop them building it in Coldfusion!
I came along to Drupal7Camp in Leeds in 2010 and entered a whole new World. I was amazed at how friendly everyone was and how helpful. The Drupal Community is something special and we should all be proud of it.
After attending DrupalCon London, a couple of us had the crazy idea of running a camp in Cambridge and Cambridge Science Camp happened the following January. Minimum budget, minimum organisation, maximum fun. Anyone can organise a camp - just get together power, wifi, a roof and some good coffee - the rest will just happen...
I started talking at events with DCNW in Manchester and DCamp London. I've also spoken recently at DrupalCamp Yorkshire on learning and Open Badges.
Oh - and one more thing - I may have tweeted at the end of DrupalCon Prague that I promised to cycle to the next Drupalcon in Europe; Amsterdam. It seems a few people wanted to join me. :-)
I hearby promise to cycle to #drupalcon 2014 from Norfolk, UK to Amsterdam...— Rachel Lawson (@rachel_norfolk) September 26, 2013
