ScrumBanFall - Combining the best project management tools to get sh** done

Speakers:

No single project management methodology is perfect to execute a successful project in the real world. This session will cover a hybrid approach that can leverage the strengths and overcome the weaknesses of common PM practices to Get Sh** Done.

Warning:Agile purists may cringe at this approach. I promise not to offend.

At Hook 42, we combine the best tools and techniques used in Waterfall (gasp!), Agile / Scrum, and Kanban techniques to scope, execute, and deliver client projects in a high-quality and rapid development environment.

This session will surface the highlights of our process and how your projects may benefit from the tools used.

Benefits to Attendees:

  • De-mystify Project Management terms and methodologies.
  • Learn new tools and techniques to use through your project lifecycle.
  • Know that it is ok to change process if it is constraining your project work!

Comments

As a non-PM, I'm surprised at how opinionated some PMs can be that their way is the "right way". Just like in Drupal, there are so many different ways to approach a problem and so many tools to use to do a great job. I think it's good to have an open mind on approaches and methodologies, and to be flexible.
